Job Descripton: Programmer (C# Developer) - Brafe Engineering Limited are currently recruiting for a Programmer (C# Developer) to join their team based in Woodbridge, Suffolk. The successful Programmer (C# Developer) will be assisting with the writing of code, testing, implementation and continual development of a new bespoke ERP system. You'll be working as part of a small team with employees and contractors. This critical role will help the business to deliver internal projects on time.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Programmer (C# Developer), the first phase will involve mainly coding but with the scope to continue the development of both software and hardware needed to run an efficient business. For the right candidate there will be the opportunity to progress into leading the IT department, in the longer term.


• Work closely with existing team to design and build efficient and reliable C# code.
• Maintain current knowledge of standard languages, coding methods, and operation requirements.
• Collaborate with people at all levels and works closely with all users to ensure timely delivery of project plans.
• Responsible for the company's application portfolio which includes database maintenance, coding, upgrades, and resolving database performance issues.
• Collaborate with end users to help refine their processes and designs, translating these requirements into system specifications and improvements.
• Assist in the designs of automated modules / applications that meet business objectives.
• Perform maintenance and modification of programs currently in production to keep them responsive to user needs and to assure efficient operation in the production environment.
• Provide support for IT related issues.


• Proficient in C# with familiarity with the .NET framework, understanding of .NET Generics (generic lists, objects, extension methods etc).
• Knowledge and understanding of creating and maintaining Winforms Custom User Controls.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
• In depth understanding of Microsoft SQL Server.
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
• Ideally you will have some business analyst skills to understand the business requirements
• Experience in working in the engineering sector would be advantageous but not essential.
• Knowledge and understanding of source control environments especially Git in a Team Foundation Services environment.

An excellent salary is on offer of £40,000 to £58,000 depending on experience. Working hours are Monday to Thursday 08:30 - 16:30, Friday 08:30 - 16:00. Holiday is 25 days per annum plus Bank Holidays. Great benefits are on offer including: a highly competitive pension and life cover.
