We at Servest Arthur McKay, part of the Atalian Servest Group, currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pre-Construction manager to join the team. You will be working within a team, however must be able to take ownership of a project from the initial concept and allocation once received from the client - together with managing the client expectations as much as possible for adequate Mechanical & Electrical return timescales

Duties include:

• Regular client communication and be the main client point of contact
• Have an awareness of Mechanical & Electrical aspects of enquiries and consult/work with multi discipline colleagues for their assistance or input
• Work closely with AMK estimating, design colleagues and Operation Manager leads and assist in reconciling client orders to a satisfactory conclusion to provide a detailed project handover to the construction team
• Liaise and communicate well with all internal and external stakeholders, i.e. Quantity Surveyors, estimators, designers, architects
• Provide timeously responses to client queries regarding Contractors Proposal submissions, client cost queries and challenges and ensuring a good written audit trail of communication and technical queries
• Expect to multi task on various types of projects at various stages at any one time
• Being flexible to client changes, requests and also the project value engineering requirements
• Managing and controlling any key changes to ensure adequate M&E return timescales

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

• Good communication skills both written and verbal and be able to manage client`s expectations on returning Contractors Proposals
• Good commercial awareness
• Clean current driving licence essential
• Must have relative Construction industry Health and Safety qualifications
• Able to use handheld devices and confident in working with Excel spreadsheets and Word documents

This role may require Disclosure Scotland, Baseline or other similar security clearance may also be required.

Hours and Environment

This role will be for 40 hours per week and based at our office in Loanhead, however there may be a requirement to travel to our client locations throughout the UK. Working hours are from 08:00am to 17:00 Monday to Friday, however you may be required to be flexible to suit the needs of the business.
