State Second Pension

Employment context:-

This is the new additional pension introduced by the government in April 2002 to replace SERPS. It is more generous to the low paid than SERPS.

Anyone who pays National Insurance contributions and who is not a member of a contracted out occupational pension scheme or has individually opted out in favour of an appropriate personal pension will be building up S2P.
